Even though we had intentionally shifted our mindset toward stewardship, raising them ethically and humanely as livestock, there was still a lot of hesitation before dispatching the first rabbit. And the second. And every one after that.

That’s been the real shift: not the amount of work—but the constant need to triage the work.

Some days the overwhelm comes from simply choosing what to focus on—what matters today, and what has to wait. Faith has been teaching me that even good desires need discernment. God doesn’t ask us to do everything—He asks us to be faithful with what’s in front of us.

We often get asked how we came up with the name "Honyock Homestead". Well, here it is...We’ve got a streak of stubbornness, a heap of curiosity, and just enough of an adventurous spirit to keep life interesting.
